An indulgent breakfast by the sea was just the ticket to launch the Bondi-born Sunescape to Australia’s top trade and consumer beauty media, held fittingly in a luxurious North Bondi penthouse on September 17th.
The launch saw Australia’s top beauty editors from titles including Cosmopolitan, Famous, Cleo, Gritty Pretty, Women’s Health, Prevention, Dolly, Beauty Heaven, Women’s Fitness and Professional Beauty come together to learn more about our sunless tanning range, as they enjoyed a two-course breakfast inspired by the tropics. Whilst soaking up the sweeping $6 million views, guests were served coconut cups filled with cinnamon poached fruit, young coconut flesh and mint salad, mini bircher muesli cups and tasting plates of fig and hazelnut risotto, corn fritters and toasted sour cherry and walnut cake with orange blossom honey – with a suitably tropical cocktail to match, of course!
Speaking to guests about the story behind the creation of the brand and what makes Sunescape unique – from our naturally nourishing ingredients to unrivalled longevity – the presentation on the retail and professional range garnered a great response, as did the look, feel and smell of the products themselves.
Guests also got creative thanks to an Instagram competition, which saw Cleo’s beauty editor Rachael Mannell walk away with dinner for two at Bondi’s own Icebergs thanks to her Sunescape collage, featuring our lovely model Dani. Rachael was actually in touch the very next day to let us know that she had tried Sunescape already: “The colour is delightful. No orange undertones, just chocolaty-brown!”
Along with specially designed and personalised Sunescape passports, guests left with the full range to trial, and tickets to experience the professional spray tan at Tan Temple, where it all began.
Following on from the success of the official trade launch at the Sydney International Spa & Beauty Expo, we’ve since received even more outstanding feedback from the crème de la crème of Australia’s beauty media, all reporting fabulously natural-looking, long-lasting tans, leading to high expectations of media coverage over the coming spring and summer months
